Engaging Celebrations exists to clearly grasp a Bride's vision of what she wants to savor on her wedding day, create a wedding plan that captures this dream and execute that plan in a manner that exceeds the expectations of the client while allowing them to enjoy family and guests without distractions of details or problems.

Staff Bios

Beverly Andrews, PBC, PWC has been helping brides fulfill their wedding dreams since 1998. As the client base grew and wedding events became increasingly complex, she and her husband created Engaging Celebrations LLC in 2005. She brings together business know how, experience and long standing vendor relationships in order for her clients to experience an unforgettable day. Her driving passion is twofold: planning a wedding day that runs like a well-oiled machine and creating a day of memory moments for her couples and their families.

Beverly graduated from Mountain Brook High School and The University of Alabama at Birmingham. She married Jim, her Junior High School sweetheart in 1985. They are currently owned by two German Shepherds, Greta Ruth and Griffin.

Catherine Franklin is a partner and event planner with Engaging Celebrations. Catherine has been professionally trained by the Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants (ACPWC). She has been working with brides for several years now. Catherine was the Assistant Director for a local Early Learning Center when she decided to change career paths. She has a winning combination of management experience and "we-can-do-it" personality. Among her many qualifications, Catherine is a creative thinker who helps couples capture the essence of their dream wedding. Catherine thinks outside the box and brings unique elements to the table.

Catherine graduated from Vestavia Hills High School and traveled to Mexico and Ukraine where she headed up children's programs for mission trips. In June of 2002, Catherine married Jeremy Franklin. They are joined at home with their pets Hershey, Zeke, Jonah and Kinsey. Catherine loves Weimaraners and Kinsey, the newest addition, fulfills that dream.

Neki Garrett rounds out the partnership and works as a third wedding planner with Engaging Celebrations. Neki is a licensed practicing attorney, bringing her experience in counseling and negotiating to the mix. With a passion to serve others, Neki knows the value of good connections and great relationships—a tremendous asset for a liaison between a bride and her many vendors. In addition to the business knowledge Neki brings to the table, she enjoys finding creative solutions for her brides and can provide monogramming or calligraphy as an additional service. She has been working with Engaging Celebrations since 2006

Neki received her high school diploma from Homewood High School, her undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama, her MBA from The University of Alabama at Birmingham and her Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law. Neki married Alvin in June 2005. Beverly and Catherine came to know Neki when she hired Engaging Celebrations for her own wedding! Neki and Alvin don't have any critters...YET!
