Jordan and Justin Truelove

Jordan Kelly had a notebook. It was the kind of journal born from spending many hours lost in wedding magazines exploring the newest trends and the oldest traditions. The romantic collection was bulging with pictures and ideas for that once-in-a-lifetime celebration she hoped she would one day be her own.

When Jordan met Justin Truelove, she soon knew he would be the one who would share her special notebook and all that it meant to her. Together they decided on their own unique and playful monogram: a “j²” inside a circle of dots. It was the springboard for creating the kind of celebration Jordan had always imagined, an event where her guests would feel welcome, comfortable, and entertained.

Thoughtful details were woven throughout all the festivities at The Sonnet House in Leeds, Alabama. Bridesmaids arrived in monogrammed button-down shirts, making it a breeze to change into their formal attire once their hair and makeup were complete. Jordan surprised her groom with replica of a Cheez-It Box as his cake. Fondant “crackers” spilled over the top of the cake to rest beside a picture of Justin eating his favorite childhood snack.

For their youngest guests, Jordan and Justin hired EC for KIDS. True to their slogan, “fun for kids during grown-up events,” EC for KIDS created a safe environment for the children to experience a fun party of their own while their parents celebrated Jordan and Justin’s wedding. The children enjoyed making tissue paper flowers, playing games and eating kid-friendly food.

For their parents, Jordan and Justin commissioned an artist to prepare their wedding portraits on site, which they presented in incredible water color perfection at the end of the evening. Guests departed with pashminas and shirts with the couple's monogram as favors. And the newlyweds left to Crimson and White shakers, falling rose petals, and the distinctive sound of duck calls, an unexpected and hilarious sendoff from the groomsmen.
